NIA Playshop: Dancing through Life

The Dancing Through Life Playshop Offers:

A NIA mind-body fitness experience exploring the many applications of NIA practice and philosophy outside the studio. Examples include:

• Awareness of physical sensation to heal and prevent injury
• Embodying both strength and suppleness to do the tasks we choose to do
• Recognizing the usefulness of mental strength and agility in family, relationships, business, and work
• Listening to your inner voice -Increasing "Sensory IQ"
• Using clarity and focus to stay on track
• Embracing natural time
• Inviting Joy to guide your dance & your life

No prior experience with Nia is necessary. Those who do attend Nia classes may find increased depth and delight. Come dressed to move freely & dance.

Katie Strong is a certified NIA Technique White Belt Teacher & NIA 5 Stages Teacher, offering Classic NIA, NIA 5 Stages, Private NIA, and AQUA NIA at Tamarack Wellness Center in South Eugene. Katie believes that NIA can have a significant healing impact on body, mind and spirit. Learning "The Body's Way" and embracing Dynamic Ease, is a powerful practice, on and off the dance floor. She invites you to come dance & play in this present moment and experience the limitless possibilities.
