Liz Foster has been studying dance her entire life and started studying Argentine Tango during 2004 and became a teacher’s assistant in 2005 and began teaching on her own in 2006. She has taught privates, group lessons and workshops around the Northwest. She also performs both as a follow and lead. She has performed many times at the Tango Center in downtown Eugene, concerts of many different musicians, private parties, work parties, in the Hult Center and Beall Hall as well as many other locations. In 2006/2007 she traveled to Buenos Aries to immerse herself into the culture of Argentine Tango. In 2006 she started organizing and coordinating dance events, including a weekly event which is over three years old. She is tackling tango from all angles and has be DJing since 2005, specializing in alternative tango music. She is also a dancer by trade and dances with a variety of Oregon-based modern dance companies. She is currently an undergraduate at the University of Oregon where she is double-majoring in Dance and Human Physiology. She plans to go into dance medicine after she graduates. Her teaching style focuses on mixing the passion of tango with solid technique in a way that is healthy for the body and mind.
